My name is Johnny McNeill. I’m an ex-British Army, Royal Signals Sgt Major with just over 25 years served (1985-2011) with tours of Iraq and Bosnia. I’m also an ‘invisible’ male survivor of domestic abuse.
‘Gaslighting Gilligan’ (©2017) is a personal, political and philosophical journey through the interconnected ‘State’ of the psychological warfare and physical violence which takes place ‘behind closed doors’ waged by abusive ‘partners’.
But then with the male survivor experience erased and the statistics warped by Government agencies and their corporate ‘charity’ partners, they reheat the gaslight again behind closed doors via their broadcast media to seal us all within the ‘flatscreen universe: cinematic, TV and tablet’ to shape our individual perceptions and drive our collective ‘reality‘. In doing so ‘It‘ demoralises, demonises and dehumanises men in order to make them more susceptible to subliminal suggestion and to both State and societal subservience.
And through this engineered deprivation of dignity to orchestrate a mass depression, men are gaslight-coerced to seek society’s respect and their own self-esteem – with the younger, more impressionable men in particular – made ripe to pour their austerity skint and patriotic purpose into a military uniform.
As such ‘Gaslighting Gilligan’ (©2017) is ‘a paradigm shift in the meaning of domestic abuse and the Atlantic Bridge to ‘1984’.

On the 25th June 2017 – the same day I released the book – I did this;
Video recorded on 25th June 2018, on the first anniversary of going to Berlin and warning the German Bundes Polizei & Irish Embassy on 250617, of the inevitable #ToryAnalytica coup d’etat militarisation of Brexit and the arrival of a US/UK-led global fascism; “Being in a minority, even in a minority of one, did not make you mad. There was truth and there was untruth, and if you clung to the truth even against the whole world, you were not mad”. Orwell, ‘1984’.
As a result I was arrested, detained and sent to the Psychiatric Ward of the Charité Hospital in Berlin. After three sets of psychiatric assessments (two in Berlin and one on return to Scotland) I was found not to be ‘mad’. I simply perceived events differently and experienced first hand how defensive, scared, dismissive and irrational even professionals can become in order to protect their own conditioned-biases and belief systems.
I’m not an academic or historian and certainly not a diplomat or politician. I’m an ex-Squaddie and State school indoctrinated council house kid. The key difference between me and most people is that I trusted my intuition to know something was very wrong about the manner of my ‘inspiration‘ for the subsequent route the book took me.
You see I’d already been writing ‘Gaslighting Gilligan’ (free download) since April 2016 based on my first-hand experiences of being subjected to ‘gaslighting’. But on the 12th September 2016 I was jolted by something (it’s in the book) which inspired me to begin monitoring mainstream media for cyclical, repetitive and reinforcement narratives and themes. And I began to see something truly terrifying.
I continued to monitor and by late December 2016 and going into January 2017, I finally accepted that the propaganda design was deliberate and resolved to write a dystopian ‘fiction‘ through the prism of cryptic symbolism, which itself is ‘crack cocaine’ to abusive personalities who possess the characteristics for the most perfect charismatic combination of evil which is housed the three Machiavellian, narcissistic and psychopath characteristics; the ‘Dark Triad’ – and who driven as such, simply need to wave their knowledge and power in the faces of their unwitting victims.
I then simply backed myself and took the necessary action I did and went to Berlin, warning five different agencies on 25th June. (See the PDF file properties: my last-minute edits were actually made in Berlin on 24th June 2017).
And as I tried to tell them; all you need to know about where we’re being driven by mass media emotional-behavioural manipulation is in the book which is (© 2017) protected but it isn’t yet professionally edited.
As such, ‘Gaslighting Gilligan’ is a ‘Warning Order’ to global western ‘democracies’ who are all being subjected to joint corporate-political cartel psychological warfare, ‘Dark Triad’ designed to agitate and divide entire populations via identity politics – especially by gender agenda.
And all of ‘It’ is fronted by the seemingly ‘sincere’ actors and smiling faces of the ‘respected’ corporate media, in preparation for the inevitable, ‘unifying’ US/UK-led global fascist militarisation trigger and the impending mobilisation of historically precedented mass-slaughter – on an unprecedented scale.
