National Trust Scotland ‘Trademarking’, Neil Oliver NTS appointment, the Culloden Housing Development & Their Collective Role in ‘Gleichschaltung’ – The (continuing) deliberate British State policy by gaslight omission of Scots cultural-historical identity.

Firstly I’d like to draw your attention to ‘Gleichschaltung’ – “In Nazi terminology, Gleichschaltung was the process of Nazification by which Nazi Germany successively established a system of totalitarian control and coordination over all aspects of society, from the economy and trade associations to the media, culture and education”. Explained here…
Some of you will have previously seen the NTS Boards’ move to trademark geographical aspects of Scotland’s historical battle DNA such as Glencoe, Bannockburn and Culloden and you will also be aware of NTS appointment of Neil Oliver as President.
Personally I’ve only just recently learned of the proposed housing build on the Culloden site and so I’m going to set out why I believe these to be connected and deliberate – and allude to where it’s all going.
I recently wrote a (*lengthy) article regarding Brexit using Hanlon’s and Occam’s Razors;
Hanlon’s Razor says ‘never attribute anything to malice which can be adequately explained by stupidity’, whereas Occam’s Razor says ‘among competing hypotheses, the one with the fewest assumptions should be selected’…
My view is that National Trust Scotland being one of many ‘respected charitable’ British State ‘Trojan Champions’ is attempting to trademark our cultural-historical battlefield references in order to prevent future NTS ‘unapproved’ independent organic-arts media sources, from producing output that doesn’t suit the ‘One Nation’, ‘North Britain’ narrative that counters the manipulated, oft-claimed benevolence of the British State towards Scotland and indeed, towards the world.
It’s entirely feasible that had such restrictive-use trademarking been in place over a generation ago, some of The Corries finest works for example, that I imagine might have went on to inspire political messaging of Runrig, Big Country and of course The Proclaimers and Paulo Nutini might have been choked off, strangled at birth.
And Liam Neeson’s ‘Rob Roy’ and Mel Gibson’s ‘Braveheart’ etc might never have been ‘authorised’ and ‘Outlander’ might not even be a thing today. We can’t know these things for certain but we can make an informed guess based not only past gaslight precedence but the British States’ omission of them. But I think it’s fair to state, the likelihood of having access to these Scots-heritage music and stories afforded to us today have only been made so in the absence of such ‘trademarking’.
By the way I’m not claiming any of these TV and film entertainment pieces to be historically factual but I am unequivocally asserting that they are historically ‘actual’; that the recurrent theme of bloodshed, bullying, blackmail and bribery perpetrated by the dominant aristocratic elites of this island towards Scotland (indeed all the ‘slave-serf classes’ across this island) are based in authentic, historically accurate recordings.
Yes they are romanticised entertainment pieces but they were real historical experiences brought to life, brought into the collective Scots consciousness that countered the entirely British WWII-centric State-school (and TV/film propaganda) messaging; the historically-indoctrinated – not educated – Baby Boomer and Gen X generations who were/are ‘cradle-to-grave’ conditioned to house their own identities in being the reluctant, battle-weary force for good and all-round ‘good-guys’ in the world – who won every battle by British Whig history.
Which is odd considering that before and since WWI, the murderous, genocidal British Empire suffered defeat after defeat until it receded as all Empires do, back to the very shores of the British Isles. These genocide facts of course, are omitted from all British State-school history.
But Scots, despite their global-reputation as outstanding soldiers, have domestically, known defeat, after defeat, after defeat. And we are reminded of those defeats through the battlefield-heritage sites about to be trademark-smothered, if the British State ‘owned’ NTS get their way.
So it is imperative that Scots be permitted without hindrance, to be ‘allowed’ to be reminded of the history that subjugated Scotland.
As an ex-British soldier, I am grateful for these painful ‘reminders’ in the present because it drives me to right the wrongs of my GenX State-school ‘programme-conditioned’ past, knowing that if nothing changes – we face a very bleak future – not only for Scotland but for democracy and humanity as a whole across this island.
So sure, we could easily overlook, even dismiss the role of the creative film and arts – including Braveheart – in our journey towards the 2014 referendum but slating it altogether would be nothing more than low-brow ignorance or elitist-erudite, chattering class snobbery or even the downright divisive, superior-shaming and derision intent that tells us ‘What little you know of your history; be ashamed of it. Be very ashamed’.
Whereas English historical parallels on contemporary politics on the other hand, can be trumpeted by the next touted UK Prime Minister, Jacob Rees-Mogg who ‘compares Brexit to battles of Agincourt, Waterloo and Trafalgar’ – without a hint of the shame; a shame that Scots have been conditioned to feel and to propagate and project onto our children if we dare to reference our own historical parallels.
Rees-Mogg’s hypocrisy is astounding as it is pervasive throughout the British Establishment and along with laying claim to victimhood and to revisionist history, it is the preserve of both individual and group narcissism as well as State driven fascism.
A renewed attempt is underway by ‘Gleichshaltung Gaslight’ to once again hijack Scotland’s history; by denying future generations the literary-creative space to operate, by conducting a legal, bureaucratic ‘land-grab’ – but not of the places themselves (not this time).
No, this time it’s the place-names that have been written in blood, etched into our cultural-identity DNA despite the British States inter-generational attempts at State-school ‘shame-centric’ compliance-conditioning and indoctrination to deny ourselves whilst revering Monarchy and Britishness.
I know because as a product of it, I did these things.
In other words; to overwrite, to erase, to steal the Scots from who they really are through chattering class, peer-pressured social-conformity ‘gaslight’.
Because Bannockburn, Killikrankie, Glencoe and Culloden etc. are inescapably synonymous with not only who – but what – Scots have inadvertently been ‘experientially-conditioned’ to become through these inter-generational, Imperial-power imposed injustices; social-justice warriors.
We can be proud of that – especially in a time when a certain kind of pride, a Brexit-driven pride, may come at a cost; even to those who’ve found their reinvigorated British purpose in it.
But Scots I suspect, even those conflicted by ‘Britishness’ programmed messaging (I was one), can quite literally ‘feel’ these places once their full historical importance and implication context is revealed. Which is why the British State goes to such pains to bury them.
But of course to simply voice such factual Scots historical sentiment, they will often choose to steep themselves in victimhood and portray (unwelcome) Scots history as an attack on their British identity. And often too is met with accusations of being “paranoid”, “conspiracy theorist”, “narrow-minded”, “insular”, “isolationist”, “separatist”, “backward”, “churlish”, “divisive, grievance-based politics”.
It’s on the same spectrum of shame, as when being ordered to “speak properly” as a child. And that’s the point; to be shamed into submission – as any psychologically abusive ‘partner’ does.
The British establishment not only knows how important it is to deny a colony its history but how psychologically crucial it is to have that history’s own ancestors – demean it at source.
Which is where Neil Oliver comes into his own, for his own gain.
Neil Oliver’s Appointment as President of the NTS
Scotland’s history is littered with self-serving acolytes, ‘flying-monkeys’ of the British State. 300 years ago they did for greed, for riches and for many, to basically not starve and die. I imagine many of them became soldiers serving the British Empire.
But today there’s no excuse – a ‘Scotsman’, especially an erudite ‘historian’, knowing how corrupt but still supporting the British State nonetheless, does so with ideological-driven purpose as he’s not going to be motivated by an empty belly anytime soon and so he might well be driven by love of the British State. Right.
But given his knowledge and intelligence combined with his conscious choice to continue to deny further generations of Scots children their own history in his pursuance of the British State narrative by Highland “mass-migration” instead of “Clearances”, his motivation I would argue, is for nothing more than age-old self-serving greed; for personal financial profit, for positioned privilege and for no doubt a promised entitled ‘ermine-vermin’ symbiotic-sycophant spot at the feet of Her Maj. (Which I also believe is awash throughout the UK ‘news’ media).
Yet the world-famous ‘historian’ and archaeologist Neil Oliver, reeking of moral-superiority, owes his entire ‘celebrity prestige’ status, his every success, to the very same British State and its principal broadcaster the BBC.
He has been carefully cultivated to be positioned to lend his State-created ‘prestige credibility’ to the very same British States reinvigorated, eradication-effort of Scots culture and education; this time, in preparation for post-Brexit’s very dystopian, dysfunctional disunited Kingdom.
And this is why the outside world will unwittingly believe Oliver is representative of Scotland, of Scots; as a willing subservient-Sovereign State, “a minor entity in North Britain” – simply because of his looks and locks but most significantly – because of his accent.
And so that’s the puppeteer purpose of the NTS and Oliver; to play their lead-in role in the ‘Gleichschaltung’ of Scots cultural-identity history; to ensure we continue to be seen by ourselves and our grandchildren and the world – exclusively through the prism of Nessie, Brigadoon and Whisky Galore (as they’ve just done again with a ‘timely’ remake).
I’ll go further. Neil Oliver’s gaslight ‘overwrite’ of who we are, of our very being and what makes us ‘us’, is a most necessary prestigious platform cog in the UK States’ ongoing psychological warfare-machine that doesn’t just affect Scotland.
The corporate-government media ‘PsyOps’ machine is not confined to diminishing Scots and our value of our individual ‘selves’ in our own eyes and minds but is also extended to the confidence-ability of the entire intergenerational working-class population across this whole island to lack trust in ourselves to move forward but instead are habituated to look to and place trust in the backward-looking, bullying British State for purpose.
But in doing so we all are unwittingly diminished in the eyes of our own children, who will innately mimic us as we, then they too as adults, willingly hand over our most precious of resources – our children – to feed as conveyor-belt cannon-fodder into the insatiable British (&US) Imperial war machine.
First they take your mind, your ‘reality’; then they take you. Then you give them your children.
The Culloden Housing Development
So far I’ve given an interpretation on the evidenced facts of NTS ‘Trademarking’ and their British State puppeteer Presidential appointment of Oliver but there are dozens, if not hundreds of people who are far more informed of the facts regarding the proposed development on Culloden, than I am.
So all I can I offer is my consistent interpretation through my fairly unique perspective, because like Brexit; I believe that the NTS ‘Trademarking’, Neil Oliver’s NTS appointment and the Culloden build are not a Hanlon’s Razor chance-combination of random ‘stupidity-driven’ events but a British elite-estate design that has a very simple explanation housed in both British historical precedence and Occam’s Razor; a contemporary British State ‘Gleichschaltung’ initiative to imperceptibly eradicate the Scots historical-cultural identity. But this time, forever.
(That stated I am taken aback to learn that the Scottish Government has approved the Culloden build. I can only deduce it’s a matter of them choosing the ‘right’ battles in the current climate both post-Brexit referendum negotiations and socio-politically, in the face of a housing shortage and in turn, in the face of orchestrated Scottish Unionist parties working in tandem with a hostile British State media).
So given the overall ideological context, I believe it’s an orchestrated design in the factual occurrences that we can all see, hear and for the target-audience recipients – largely the right-wing elements – to feel.
Because this Gleichschaltung – and this cannot be simply dismissed – is taking place against an irrefutably undeniable backdrop of proactive reinforcement of ‘Britishness’ through the ‘Pavlov Patriot’ messaging which has been injected into TV ‘programming’ and become corporate advertising concentrated over the last two or three years.
It is has become saturated with subliminal references of family, of a ‘community-nation’ housed in a ‘togetherness’ and of ‘stoical-spirited’, wartime ‘Blitz’ messaging in Churchillian-victimhood TV and film entertainment; remakes and recycled reinventions, that are massaging ‘emotionalised-empowerment’ ego’s to become distracted, misdirected and manipulated by ‘emotional-behavioural’ design to drive a patriotically British population – even to the extent this patriotism has become a centralised tenet of the UK Govt Brexit ‘strategy’ – all under the umbrella of the 100 year WWI commemorations…
I perceive the southern-centric working-class population are becoming increasingly militaristic in ‘their’ views, emboldened by an increasingly purposeful British nationalist, barely-disguised xenophobic pro-Brexit media.
And all of this feeds into another joint-orchestrated UK State and corporate-entity initiative – in supermarkets.
We are being overwhelmed with shelves ‘loaded’, emblazoned with the Union Flag food produce. This ‘Food-Produce Propaganda’ bathed Rule Britannia is I believe classic Pavlov association-conditioning and it’s being instilled through the impressionable eyes and malleable minds of the most important targets; toddlers and teenagers alike, throughout this island.
Remember Orwell’s quote earlier? I suspect we are actually witness to our own authentic 300 year history repeating itself in the form of this renewed effort to once again rewrite Scots history in our present.
We are being recreated, reinvented by revisionist narrative commission and omission in our very presence, as they begin to gaslight Scots cultural identity out of existence altogether in order we hand over our future, our resources, our children to the UK aristocratic-oligarch elite, all over again – with our blessing.
We understand they’ve been doing it to Scotland and Wales for well over 300 years but they’ve been doing it to the English forerunners of the working-classes for far longer than that; however they just can’t see it through the programme-conditioned Pavlov Patriotism.
And just who do you think the Nazi’s took their aristocracy-led Gleichschaltung inspiration from?
I believe we’re witnessing not only our own Scots history unfolding before us but also 1930’s German history unfolding across the whole of Britain too with the population becoming the very thing they were conditioned to believe they were; the morally-superior ‘good-guys’.
But it seems the perennial opponents of tyranny are now becoming its guardian. And we all know only too well where that leads…
